Algaetech International is the holding company and was incorporated in Malaysia on 22nd April 2004. Its activities are in the field of micro algal research, development and consultancy as well as production and marketing of renewable energy and high value products. Algaetech has researched into algae since 2004 and has been awarded grants by the Malaysian Government for its algal research projects into renewable energy and high value functional foods. Algaetech group researchers and consultants actively pursue algal research and development projects that directly contribute towards the commercialization of algal products and technologies in order to build a socially responsible, successful and profitable business. Inevitably, Algaetech Group activities are diversified but focused in several main areas;

Research & Development of Algae for functional food and biofuels;

Consultancy in CO2 Sequestration, Carbon Credit Management and Integrated Renewable Energy Plant combines with algae cultivation and production;

Primary production of high value products (Hvp’s) and anti oxidants;

Algae Product Marketing under brand named “Premia” and a main developer for “Algae Integrated Management System (AIMsys)”.

Why we are a green organisation

We are the pioneer and a major player in Malaysia and Indonesia in Algae Related Industry and we have our own technology and system for cultivation of microalgae for primary production of Biofuel/biodiesel. Our system and technology is called “Algae Integrated Management System (AIMsys)” is a combination of Close photo bioreactor and Open pond system for cultivation of Microalgae and also adaption of high technology equipment and machinery. AIMsys is a combination of Biology and Technology together with the project management, technology transfer, technical expertise and management of technology know-how for algae cultivation integrated with Bio remediation & Co2 Sequestration. The highly efficient tubular photo-bioreactor is used for the production of microalgae under controlled conditions and this system also integrates two different platform technologies which are Algae Plant and Precision Agriculture.

We are successfully completed a R&D and cultivation of micro algae for production of biodiesel in year 2007 and now we are in the process to commercialize this algae biofuel. We are also successfully created and in the final stage to develop our huge algae farm in Indonesia for primary production of biodiesel and feedstock. This algae plant is using photo bioreactor and the capacity is 500,000 liter. Our researchers and consultants are always work together to find a best solution and method for cultivation of microalgae and production of algae biofuel and other HVP’s
