Green Building Council Indonesia

Institution Council or GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL INDONESIA is an independent institution (NGO) and nonprofit fully committed to the education community in applying best practices and facilitating the transformation of the global construction industry towards sustainability. GBC INDONESIA is an Emerging Member of the World Green Building Council (WGBC), based in Toronto, Canada. WGBC now consists of 94 countries and has only one GBC in each country.

GBC INDONESIA was founded in 2009 and organized by the synergies among its stakeholders, including:

- Professional construction services,

- Members of the construction and property industry,

- Government,

- Educational institutions and research

- Association of professional and community care environment.

Why we are a green organisation

GREENSHIP Rating System is an assessment tool developed by the Green Building Council of Indonesia (GBCI) to determine whether a building can be declared eligible certified “green building” or not.

Greenship as a rating system is divided into six aspects as follows:

-Appropriate Land Use (Appropriate Site Development / ASD)

-Energy Efficiency & refrigerants (Energy Efficiency & Refrigerant / EER)

-Conservation of Water (Water Conservation / WAC)

-Source & Cycle Materials (Materials & Cycle Resources / MRC)

-Air Quality & Leisure Air (Water Indoor Health & Comfort / IHC)

-Environmental Management Building (Building & Enviroment Management)
